Hvar
Hvar is a Croatian island which lies between three other islands - Brač, Vis and Korčula. Its hillsides are covered with pine forests, vineyards, olive groves, fruit orchards and lavender fields in the agricultural areas. The climate is characterized by warm summertimes with many hours of sunshine. The old town of Hvar, or ‘Stari Grad’ in Croatian, is a UNESCO World’s Heritage Site, and when first established by the Greeks it was one of the oldest towns in Europe.
